It’s an exciting day for Flash developers around the world! Adobe has just released the first public build of Molehill, the new GPU accelerated Flash 3D. You can download the new bleeding edge Flash Player at the Flash Player Incubator site.
Molehill was public released last night (at the Flash Gaming Summit)Â and I’ve seen several posts and demos popping out. From now on, game developers can use GPU power in order to create complex 3D Flash games, using shaders and models (such as Md2) without hurting the CPU performance.
To follow the new hype, I will add new 3D engines and tools to our 3D section during the next days. The technology will evolve and certainly great new tools and engines will be developed, I can’t wait to see it all happen.
