I am pleased to announce that As3GameGears will start featuring (free) game asset from now on!

From  a developer perspective, it’s quite easy to find code on the web (see this very site here), but it’s not that simple to find assets for your game. If you are a game studio or a developer with extra bucks to spend , there are several freelancers out there waiting to be hired. The process is as simple as “describe, draw, pay, done”.

On the other hand, if you are an indie game developer with no money (or has no artists as friends), you may end up with a great gameplay, but squares and circles moving on the screen. It usually doesn’t call the players attention.

Thinking about that I decided to help indie game developers (and everybody else) to make their games look prettier. Along with the usual libs/code posts, As3GameGears will start featuring game assets from now on, all of them with extra information such as license, author and description.

I am very excited about this new step because I will benefit from that assets myself :) If you can draw or know someone who can and want to share your goodies, just drop me a note. The brand new Assets category is looking forward to receiving content.
